Frankenstein: The Radio Play
By Philip Grecian
from the novel by Mary Shelley
Directed by Andrew Pirie and Sara Ramshaw
Lawyers on Stage Theatre Society (LOST) presented its annual fundraiser live on-stage on December 9, 10, 11, and 12, 2021. It was hugely successful, raising over $11,000 for local charities!
The production was Frankenstein: The Radio Play by Philip Grecian, adapted from the novel by Mary Shelley, Frankenstein, or The Modern Prometheus. Published in 1818, Shelley’s Frankenstein is more than an iconic gothic horror story. It has stood the test of time with messages that still resonate clearly today about ethics in science, feminism and patriarchy, and intolerance and discrimination towards “others” who are different. Who is the “monster”?
Proceeds went to support the
Victoria Sexual Assault Centre and
