The Winter’s Tale

Lawyers on Stage Theatre Society (LOST), in collaboration with Langham Court Theatre, presents its annual fundraiser on December 11 – 14, 2025 at Langham Court Theatre.
This year’s production is William Shakespeare’s The Winter’s Tale. In this drama, Shakespeare delves into themes such as justice, truth, evidence, and credibility through a mix of trials and legal proceedings, both formal and informal. King Leontes, consumed by jealousy, wrongfully accuses his pregnant wife of infidelity, triggering a chain of tragic events that not only destroy his wife and son, but also leads to his baby daughter being abandoned on a remote island. Realizing his mistakes, Leontes dedicates himself to making amends and, sixteen years later, he is presented with an unexpected opportunity for redemption. A surprise twist in the final Act brings with it the opportunity for hope and healing.
Proceeds go to support two local charities: Victoria Women’s Transition House Society and NEED2: Suicide Prevention, Education & Support.
Dates: December 11-13, 7.30 pm; and December 14, 2.00 pm.
Tickets: Adult $30, Senior $25, Student $15 (plus service fee).

Caroline is an award-winning graphic designer based in Victoria, B.C. She has also been involved as a singer and/or actor in the last four LOST productions.
